Intro

So here's the deal. I'm interested in languages. Not so much the languages themselves, but how people learn them. How I learn them. So this blog's about my personal experience acquiring different languages.

At the start of the year (2020) I was on holiday in Japan. A long holiday. I got the chance to unwind. I got the chance to become inspired.

I became enthusiastic about doing some Japanese. But not just Japanese - I wanted to learn more than one language. I was too impatient to wait, because how long would it be before I was ready for the next? Instead, I wanted to make a start on all of them at once, with every language that I was interested in.

Was it possible? How many languages was it possible to tackle at once?

I would try to discover the answer. I'd document what I did. I'd become the guinea pig of my own action research experiment!
